Important Announcement: A New Chapter

Thank you for visiting The Birds of Shakespeare.

This project is entering an exciting new chapter. I am currently preparing the full series for publication as a book, and as part of that process, I need to temporarily remove most of the artwork and writing from this website.

The Birds of Shakespeare has grown considerably since I began in 2020. There are currently 34 completed bird paintings and essays, but only a small selection will remain publicly available while the book is in development. The rest of the paintings, essays, research, and other materials will be kept offline so they can be preserved for the forthcoming publication.

In the meantime, I will continue to document the progress of Birds of Shakespeare and will leave a small selection of bird profiles available. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has followed this project, read the essays, watched the paintings take shape, received the newsletter, attended exhibitions and talks, or simply stopped by to explore Shakespeare's birds.
